WTC Jaipur organised a seminar on International Marketing
WTC Jaipur in association with IIS University organised a seminar on International Marketing at International College for Girls, Jaipur, on 22nd February 2017
Mr Vijay Kumar Pareekh, SBU Head – Lead Business, Gravita India Ltd, who was the guest speaker of the event presented the overlook of Global Market, its trends, strategies and its benefits. He also focused on how to enter the global market and some of the key players of global market. Benefits of global market such as Additional Revenue, Understanding of customer behavior, Alternative distribution strategies, New products and a major key to achieving success in foreign markets, Ability to adapt products to local preferences and culture were discussed in his presentation. Strategies for Entering Foreign Markets such as Importing and exporting, Contractual agreements such as franchising, licensing, and subcontracting, International direct investment were also discussed. He also mentioned about VUCA world which stands for Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous and the importance of the same. He also threw light on the key success factors of making business successful Internationally such as Understanding Of Culture & Habits, Understand Law Of Land, Manage Currency fluctuations, Understand Market & Business Dynamics. Mr Pareekh having great international exposure in his vast career, shared his experience with the audience about how to deal with Global Melt down, Brexit, Greece Crisis, Currency fluctuations. The session was very informative for the student community, who were mainly the participants of the seminar.
Mr Ashish Modi, Asst Director – Trade Promotion & Business Development, World Trade Centre (WTC) Jaipur spoke about various initiatives of WTC Jaipur, which is now a member of World Trade Centre’s Association (WTCA), New York connecting 340 WTCs in over 90 countries. The WTC Jaipur facilitates trade and investment promotion in the state and assist local businesses to foray into global markets and help enhance competitiveness of Rajasthan and organizes workshops, business meetings, seminars, symposium, lectures and business campaigns regularly. Mr Modi informed the participants about the World Trade Centre Institute which is an educational wing of WTC Mumbai to meet the requirements of Industry and the corporate sector in providing industry related educational programmes.
